How Chris's Crib Will Implement The Mission

Starting in early June 2025, Chris's Crib will bring essential hygiene services directly to those who need them most. We will establish designated locations across Oakland, California, where we’ll provide mobile showers and other vital resources for the unhoused community.

Mobile Showers: Three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—our team will set up mobile shower units, operating from 9 AM to 5 PM. These facilities will offer a safe, clean, and welcoming space for individuals to refresh and restore their sense of dignity.

Laundry Services: On Fridays, alongside shower services, we will offer laundry facilities, giving individuals the chance to wash their clothes and maintain personal hygiene.

Essential Items: To further support the community, we will distribute T-shirts, socks, and underwear, as well as portable showerheads, to empower individuals to maintain hygiene wherever possible.

Resource Information: In addition to hygiene services, we will provide information on local resources, including shelters, employment assistance, healthcare services, and other programs designed to help unhoused individuals rebuild their lives.
